Course Description

The PhD in Climate Change and Disaster Management is a research-intensive doctoral program designed to develop advanced scholars and experts capable of addressing the complex and interconnected challenges of climate change and disaster risk globally.

This interdisciplinary program integrates climate science, environmental informatics, disaster risk reduction, emergency management, geospatial technologies, and policy analysis to develop innovative, evidence-based solutions for building resilient societies.

Doctoral candidates conduct original, high-impact research focused on understanding climate-induced hazards, disaster vulnerability, early warning systems, risk modeling, adaptation strategies, and emergency response frameworks. The program emphasizes both theoretical advancement and practical application, enabling researchers to contribute to academic knowledge, policy development, and real-world disaster resilience systems.

Aligned with international doctoral standards and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the program prepares graduates to lead research initiatives, influence global policy, and contribute to climate resilience, disaster preparedness, and humanitarian response systems.
